Our Farms

The stag (male) or hen (female) poults arrive from the hatchery to be reared on one of several types of farms. The stag poults spend six weeks on a brood farm, environmentally controlled to nurture the baby poult in its early stage of life, before it transfers to a Cranberry Foods growing farm, or to a farm owned by one of our dedicated independent farmers.

The hens spend all their life on a hen growing farm, typically being reared to a finished weight in around four months. We also have specialist free-range units and our own organic farm.

Whatever the farm type, our consultant nutritionalist oversees that feed is made to our own specification, ensuring a nutritious cereal based range of rations to suit the age and needs of the turkey is always available.
